Subjectivity: Are Cop 28 Climate Summit's Final Agreement Effective?

Reasons of the climate change.

COP 28 summit is over. But it's not effective  for curtailing climate change. Why? Let's see.

I'm not going to write summit start to end. To summarize, It has started with too many scandals, although some improvement achieved. 100 states has supported phasing out fossil fuels, fossil fuel firstly agreed as a source of climate change first time in final agreement in COP summits. But I don't think this is enough. Firstly, I's been used and it'll continued to use by petrol states and petrol companies for greenwashing. Secondly, It's only advisory. Some agreements can be reached between states, but they are not checked whether compliance is made or not and no punishment for violator states. There is need a check mechanism for countries, to control they are doing what they have promised. Third problem is the final agreement negotiations. Only one country can stop final agreement negotiations for their own ambitions. Also, the summit needs a fair voting mechanism to support ambitious plans to reduce climate change and for participants to easily make contributions. In the end, it's not effective and it needs to be reformed immediately. Climate activists, scientists can press countries to reformal of COP summits. And for the people, please vote in your country to environmental friendly politicians.

Both sides are maintaining the status quo on the battlefield. And in the US elections in November, Donald Trump, the isolationist ex-president of the US, may win. If he wins, he has said he will not support Ukraine and will "stop the war on day one". The latest developments on the battlefield are slightly negative for Ukraine and slightly positive for Russia. Then French President Macron said that they could send soldiers to Ukraine to help them. But will sending soldiers help Ukraine? The latest developments in battlefield (Click to see). The technological status of an army is more important than manpower in modern times. Russia has m...

History of the Social Democracy: First Phases

Social democracy has its roots in Marxism. But it has distanced itself from Marxism. In the 18th century and the first decades of the 20th century, social democracy was a broader movement that included Marxists. In 1863, the German social democratic party SPD was founded. It was one of the first Marxist parties. The SPD was co-founded by August Bebel and Wilhelm Liebknecht. Bebel believed that socialism could be achieved through legislation rather than bloody revolution. In 1871 election, German Social Democrats won 2 seats. In the 1912 election, the SPD becomes the largest party in Germany. Social democracy begins to change after Eduard Bernstein's "The Preconditions of Socialism and The Tasks of Social Democracy". Unlike Marxism, he believed that capitalism was not doomed and that it could be used to improve workers' conditions. According to him, socialism could be achieved by electing socialist representatives.  When German dictator Hitler came to power in 1933, th...
